They would say the same thing. They used to admonish us every time my siblings, cousins and I made “noise” on Holy Week.

Contrary to this though, my Dad, being the liberal minded, would say it’s okay to make noise or have fun on Holy week, Jesus already saved us 2000+ years ago. There’s no point in wallowing in misery, God wants us to be happy. We remember Jesus’ sacrifice, of course, but it doesn’t mean we restrict ourselves from being ourselves. What’s important is how we live our everyday lives following the path of the righteous. :)
