When Johanna and I went to Quiapo, we walked aimlessly until we walked into Muslim Town. I didn’t even know that there was such a thing as a Muslim Town in Quiapo. One thing I noticed was that even though it wasn’t such a rich neighborhood, there were many ticketing offices for Cebu Pacific and other airlines. Ma explained that it’s because Muslims often travel back and forth to Mindanao (the part of the Philippines where the majority of Muslims come from and reside) and that these Muslims are businessmen, so they travel a lot.
