My Favorite Barbra Streisand Songs

I really love Barbra Streisand. Her voice is just perfect. After reading Streisand: A Biography by Anne Edwards, I realized that I have to be more ambitious. She had her faults of course. She is human. Still, there is so much to admire in her strength and her bravery. People kept telling her that she wasn’t beautiful enough to succeed in Hollywood, but she didn’t listen. I want to be that strong. When I watch her videos, I just can’t imagine how anyone could question her talent. I love her, and if you guys watch these videos I’m sure you will too.

1.) I’m the Greatest Star

“I’m the greatest star. I am by far, but no one knows it.”

2.) People

“People who need people are the luckiest people in the world.”

3.) Don’t Rain on My Parade

“Eye on the target and wham. One shot, one gun shot and bam!”

4.) A Piece of Sky

“With all there is, why settle for just a piece of sky?”

5.) Somewhere

“Someday there’ll be a time for us.”

6.) As If We Never Said Goodbye

“Oh please don’t ever make me say goodbye.”

7.) The Way We Were

“What’s too painful to remember, we simply choose to forget. So it’s the laughter, we will remember, whenever we remember, the way we were.”

8.) I’ve Dreamed of You

“And just when I, thought love had passed me by, we met…come dream with me as I have dreamed of you all my life.”

9.) My Man

“For whatever my man is, I am his forevermore.”

10.) Papa, Can You Hear Me?

“Can all the words in all the books help me to face what lies ahead?”
