Weird Filipino Street Sign: No Parking

In the Philippines, most street signs are in English, but there are some that have Filipino translations at the bottom. There is a sign that I saw where it says “No Parking”. Then below it is the Filipino translation, which says: Bawal ang mga tricycles dito! I was like, huwattt?! Saan nanggaling yung mga tricycles sa “No Parking”?

  1. I guess parking a car is fine, then. I haven’t really seen any funny signs in our area of the Philippines like I saw all the time in China. It was pretty standard in hotel rooms in China that there was a small sign on the phone table, which read in English, “Don’t forget to take advantage of the room maid.”

One item does come to mind that I see on menus, sometimes, in Bacolod City and that is butter chicken, which is actually chicken that has been battered and deep fried.

    Have a great weekend!
