Create a Mental Area of Refuge

What is your mental area of refuge? When things are not going your way, you can mentally retreat to a memory that makes you happy. This is a piece of advice that Gretchen Rubin gives in her book The Happiness Project.

Building on that, I thought, maybe I should make a list of all the good memories that I have. Everyday, I can add to that list. On dark days, I can reread that list, and hopefully it cheers me up.
