with just one Red Velvet cake,
I became an instant saint,
for God inspired him to make,
this cake which almost made me faint.
but not showing up on time,
‘coz of dreams that lurked like wine,
I befriended little sin,
and the heavens went groveling.
yet on another day,
he was foolish enough to say,
“I am always here for you,”
and to the heavens, I just flew.
but, shame, I just had to see,
what his heart divulged to me,
another woman’s name,
Lucifer’s hand I sought and gained.
and this all revealed to me,
perfect logic; perfectly,
Better Christian, less pagan,
if only God gave me this man.
